What is selective photothermolysis?

A principle by which normal skin can be protected while pigmented areas are selectively absorbed and destroyed by the laser.

As shown in the figures on the right, the 1064nm wavelength laser penetrates deep into the skin, while the 532nm and 1064nm wavelength lasers absorb red oxyhemoglobin and red-brown melanin, respectively.

Top hat mode

Top Hat Mode Beam provides uniform energy that can be evenly irradiated at the target skin area.
It makes the treatment appropriate and can minimize skin damage.

Single and double pulse (PTP) REX-Q

REX-Q(ALLUX-Q) offers the ability to deliver energy in both Single Pulse and Dual Pulse (PTP) modes.
PTP technology disperses laser energy into two successive pulses, minimizing peak power while delivering maximum energy of up to 1.8J per pulse. By creating a Top Hat beam, maximum energy can be evenly distributed across the skin without risk of epidermal damage. Both single and dual pulse are available at both Q-Switched 1064nm and Q-Switched 532nm wavelengths.

The fractional handpiece uses a fractional beam (360 points, 16x16mm) to allow for
higher fluence (J/cm2) than the bulk mode handpiece, allowing it
to effectively destroy various pigments that were previously difficult to treat.
